Ubiquity Wifi

Information technology's about setting up the guest network. And while information technology'southward ready and working, I'd like to modify the default logo so that those joining the invitee network would meet the logo and then enter the password.

But when trying to upload an image I go this error:
"There was an error uploading file. Please endeavour once more subsequently."

I've tried many different sizes, formats, and nothing seems to work.

Does anyone with any knowledge in this know what'south up?

I've googled the fault simply I'm having no luck.

I retrieve it recommends chrome. So that'southward what I've been using. I did however desire to effort that. Merely I forgot to try that once I started googling the problem some more.

I'll give that shot once I'yard dwelling again. (i promise information technology'south that uncomplicated)

Here's what I was googling that made me forget...
(I'm on a Mac by the way)
I chose to connect to the guest network and when the logon folio appeared on the browser (Chrome), I right clicked the page and chose "Audit". From there I found out where the default logo was. I was able to elevate the custom logo over top of that. But I can't figure out how to salvage it.

So subsequently looking at the path of the default logo and knowing that what I'k looking at on the webpage is from within the AP itself; I idea of trying to get into the AP direct to modify the default logo to a custom i.

(again i'yard on a Mac)
So I tried to connect to the AP every bit if information technology were a server (or shared drive in Windows speak) by copying and pasting in it's web address into Mac's version of what would be explorer in Windows. I got a password prompt (and excited) merely nothing I put in, that I created works. Nor does the default ubnt username and pwd.

And so hopefully the apply of a different browser will work.

I would endeavor just logging in to the AP using a browser and it's IP address. If the logo can be changed, it should be an option in the menus.

Oh it's an option alright. Information technology just errors out when trying to upload your own logo.

UniFI APs don't have web pages. They are managed past a controller.

OH aye I know that. Just I wasn't sure if I could use it's IP to get into it's file system to force the custom logo onto it since the the selection to upload 1 of your own from the controller wasn't taking it.

Update to that by the manner, for some reason it has now worked. I don't know why. But information technology accepted the image I was trying to send to it. The only thing I did was start totally from scratch by resetting the AP back to factory. ....but at present I have another question for a different thread.

Thanks for the replies on this one though.

To modify the Logo/flick on the invitee network, yous log into the controller, navigate to guest network in the "settings" then upload your file to the organisation. You tin likewise customize the text in the aforementioned place.

And if yous were trying to make any changes while continued to the invitee network, yous were likely isolated from the controller and primary LAN.

Yep.

But I was getting that vague error above that wouldn't accept the upload.

Afterwards resetting the AP and uninstalling and reinstalling the Controller, things are good now.
